Mike is a Chartered Market Technician which is the premier designation in technical market analysis. As Chief Technical Market Analyst, he is directly responsible for the management of all technical market research delivered to Canterbury. Mike coordinates in-house research with all the technical market services purchased from independent research firms. He is a member of Canterbury's Investment Policy Committee. Mike works with our Chief Investment Officer and Chief Investment Strategist to actively manage Canterbury's over-all investment strategy to the changing market environments.
Mike performs technical analysis, and produces reports, on all major markets and securities considered to be appropriate for Canterbury client portfolios. Mike's technical analysis coverage includes global markets, currencies, Standard & Poor's, Dow Jones, Nasdaq, macro market sectors, and industry groups including (inverse) exchange traded funds. He produces a list of securities rated as "buy now" candidates and monitors all existing positions for potential technical sell signals. Mike is passionate about managing client relationships, teaching the funamentals of Canterbury's proprietary risk and portfolio management processes. His enthusiasm and outgoing personality makes him a favorite with our clients.
Mike earned his bachelor degree in Finance from Purdue University. Mike has been a student of the markets since 1993. While attending Purdue University, he interned with a major Wall Street firm. During that time, he was mentored by our Chief Investment Officer. After college, Mike served in various client service and security analysis roles. In 2008, Mike reunited with his old mentor and joined Canterbury. He is a member of the Market Technicians Association.
